From Brussels/Gent/Ostend E40:

Exit E40 at sign indicating  Brugge. After the first traffic lights, turn right direction Sint Michiels. Go through two roundabouts. On the right you'll see the train station. Follow the road. After the railroad-bridge, turn right (before the roundabout). After the first traffic lights you'll pass the main entrance of the train station. Go over the bridge. After the bridge keep on following the road (R30). After five traffic lights go left (enter the city - Kruispoort), immediately followed by a new left turn (Kazernevest), until the one-way street. Turn right (Bilkske) until anohter one-way street. There you turn left again: Hooistraat

By train:

You can take bus 6 or 16 (direction Sint-Kruis), and descent at Schaarstraat.  Hooistraat is the same street...
